PocketVeil is in Early Access: it’s playable and still being built, with new eras and features added over roughly the next two years.
A tiny voxel island lives in a glass jar on your desktop. Shape it with sand, water, lava and a digging hand, place homes, and watch a small village work, chat, make friends and grow from Flint Days to Iron Ring, in real time, even while the jar is closed.

PocketVeil is a small, slow god game that sits on your desktop. A voxel island floats in a glass jar in its own little window, and a village of jar-folk lives there whether you are watching or not.
Shape the island
- Pour sand and water, dig, raise land, and place homes and village buildings with a simple tool shelf.
- Lava is part of the toolset, too. It is hot: it can set wooden homes alight, and the villagers will grab buckets to fight the fire and later rebuild. “Safe lava” and “Gentle world” switches let you keep it purely for show.
- Changed your mind? Undo (one step or five at a time) and Remove take back what you placed.
Watch a village live
- Villagers have homes, jobs, moods, friendships, small rivalries and the occasional crush. They farm, chop wood, fill the storehouse, gather for evening festivals and settle little squabbles with the help of their leader.
- Read their chatter in the chat window, check on anyone in the villager list, and answer the letters they sometimes leave in the mailbox.
- Double-click a villager to see the world from their side for a while.
Real time, real days
- The jar keeps time even while it is closed. When you come back, a “While you were away” card tells you what happened.
- Choose a pace for each world: Fast, Medium or Legendary.
- Keep several named worlds and switch between them from the menu.
Three ages so far
The village grows through Flint Days, Copper Glow and Iron Ring. Homes, the storehouse, the pub and the manor take on a new look in each age, new buildings such as the kiln and the smithy appear, and the fields grow new crops.
On your desktop or full screen
PocketVeil runs in a small borderless window that can stay on top of your other windows, or full screen when you want a closer look.

Eras
Your village grows through the eras. Each one changes how the homes, storehouse, pub and manor look, and what the fields grow. These are the eras in the current build:

Flint Days Era 1. Stone huts among the trees, wild grain and berry bushes.
Copper Glow Era 2. Thatched clay homes, planted fields and the first kiln.
Iron Ring Era 3. Timber and stone homes, a smithy and more crops.

Early Access
This is an early version that is still being built. It is fully playable, but there is no music or sound yet, and finishing a village is not possible in this build. New eras and features will be added over roughly the next two years.
